Trading our way through Europe part II: España

we landed ourselves in southern spain, in a rural area on the coast between the small towns of Zahora and Caños de Meca. We are continuing to trade our time for a place to stay and food to eat. And along the way we are meeting nice people and learning new skills.

This time we are staying with India and Luis, who have given us a beautiful home on their property with a large veranda looking westward--seaward-- for killer sunsets (happening right now!). Below is our place:

Luis built something around a dozen homes on this property many years ago and now they are rented out as vacation homes for those on holiday... short or long term. They are all a beautiful crisp white, with curves and corners and funky additions that can only be appreciated when seen. Be it a stone oven or a narrow winding staircase, a pretty archway or built-in shelves, these places are charming! And we are lucky enough to have one as our temporary home.

The beach is just a short walk away, a completely deserted stretch of sand with strong waves and lovely sunsets. The beach is calm and peaceful. There is much to learn, as is the case when coming into other people's homes!
